You need a chain tool and you need to be shown the right way to do it. It’s easy to mess up and either break the chain while installing, or (much worse and potentially fatal) break the chain while riding.
Go to your local bike shop, ask for a chain tool, and ask them to show you how to do it.

Scott (above) is right. You need a chain tool and you need to install it correctly.
Installing a chain is not difficult but it can be dangerous if not done right. Your bike uses a 1/2″ x 3/32″ chain.
I agree with Scott. You really should have someone that knows how to do it show you. It is always better to be safe than sorry.
Scott is right, doing a chain is something that has to be shown, not something out of a book. Knowing how far to push the pin, how to feel the pin moving, is just not book stuff. 1/64 inch difference and it will be a tough job.
besides, you will use this data so little it will be forgotten the next time you need to know.
