File off the end of the pin you wish to remove until it is flush with the link face (try not to damage the link with the file) Place the link over a vice with the jaws open wide enough to let the pin come out and drive out the pin with a punch.
ok the guy above me is off his meds and is a jerk without em.ok you know the small mashed rods that pass thru the link? gring em off flat, then use a punch and tap a few times while pinched in a vise, itll jump apart.a chain cutter is not that expensive, unlike rangers meds.
If you cant use a chain tool, use a punch and hammer to pop out one of the pins in between two links.
You can get a basic chain breaker for 5 bucks.
What I use is a grinder thing n grind the side of the link till it comes apart.
Use a cut off wheel.
