Once I remove the master link, how do I shorten the chain?

usually a flat blade ***** driver, a grinder, a punch, and a hammer. Find the connector link and remove the spring clip then take the chain off. next grind the next links riveted pin so you can drive it through the roller for the link you want to put the connector through when reassembling. then just reassemble it on the 4-wheeler
