chain tools
Ted asked:

i want my last resort to be going to the bike shop to pay them to take it off for me.

I don’t have a chain whip tool, but when I take the lock ring off I use the chain and the crank to hold the cog while I loosen the lock ring.

But this time it is so tight on there that I can’t take it off.
any ideas/suggestions?

thx

Buy a chain whip they are not that expensive and you will have it when you need it. If you have an old piece of chain make one with a 2×4 and a couple of screws.
