gk asked:

Can I use a chain tool to peen it over(instead of using the clip) or do I need a different link for that?
Or … Can I use the clip type link on a 650cc bike?
Thanks IA

clip link is fine on any bike.. the chain is designed to work with the split link..

when you put it on.. make sure the open end of the clip is facing the rear if on the top section of chain.. toward the front if on the bottom section of chain..

I have never used anything other than the clip type master link on my bikes. Install the clip like easygoing said.
