SeegaMeega asked:

OK… recently when i was riding my pocket bike, the chain snapped, while I was riding the bike. I bought another chain like a week ago. I need help putting this chain on. I observed that there is like a little lock thingy on the new chain, how can I get that lock to open, that’s all I need to know, I have a pocket bike race coming up, so i need to know this fast. If you got answers, go ahead, GIVE THEM!!!! :D
The broken chain, does not have the lock, so i think when i was riding it, the lock thingy broke off…NEED HELP!!
So, in conclusion to this question, I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO GET THE LOCK THING OPEN? please specify if i need to use some special tools..
THANKS A BILLION!! :D

The master link clip pops on & off with a pair of pliers.
    To remove te clip -
Put one jaw of the pliers on the open end of the clip – put the other jaw on one of the chain link’s pins and squeeze the pliers.

Yea like he said. Also chances are all you really needed to buy was a new master link at a tiny fraction of the cost for a whole chain. Surprised the parts seller didn’t mention this. Well not really. Good to have a spare master link in yer toolkit. Easy way to remember which way the clip faces is to remember ‘fish swim upstream’ so the closed end that looks like it could be a fishes head always faces in the direction of travel. Good luck speed
