Rage Against the Machine.
That band was really innovative, especially Tom Morello’s approach to guitar playing. He was not only good technically, but he was also very creative with how the guitar should sound.
Grrr! I’ll say Tool….. but I really do love all three!

I personally like Tool the best out of these 3.
It would have to be either Tool or Rage Against The Machines for me I really can’t choose sorry. I do like Alice In Chains though just not as much as the other two.
RATM because they’re the catchiest, Tom Morello comes up with a catchy riff in almost every song, in Audioslave too. Tool is second because they have catchy parts too but fewer and farther between. AIC is actually not an uncatchy band but their catchy parts (like that part at the end of the solo in Man in the Box) aren’t up to the other two bands.
It’s very close between all three.

Rage Against the Machine is my favourite, the other two aren’t my cups of tea, but I respect them all the same.
In order…
Alice in Chains (Layne was the best voice of the 90s)
Tool (sometimes boring..but still great)
RATM. (since their debut album..IMO, they have done exactly NOTHING special.)
It’s a tie between Tool and AiC.
I never really got into RATM..
Tool with AIC in a close second. I guess I haven’t give Rage enough of a chance.
