Junkhead – Alice in Chains

oh Mr Brownstone is a great example!
I’d like to add on “Me” from Staind
I don’t know how I’m gonna choose a best answer for these, b/c there are so many good answers.

“Ball and Chain” by Social Distortion. My favorite by a long shot, because it painfully describes the love-hate relationship of addiction.
Edit: Good call on “Needle”, Ann. Definitely my favorite “third person” account of addiction.
I don’t know if it fits the addiction genera, but it definitely is a good song about needing a chemical boost to keep performing.

“(fill in the blank) ” – Pink Floyd. Listening to their music is the closest thing I’ve ever experienced to an actual drug trip!
Life is Beautiful – Sixx A.M. about kicking addiction and Accidents Can Happen – Sixx A.M. about having a relapse…being a former addict, Nikki Sixx has truly inspired me and his lyrics hit really close to home for me…
