Ian L asked:

The tool has a long shaft and then on the end has 6 angled star shaped spikes that sort of cross over each other. when one is spun the others spin in an interlocking chain reaction. It appears to be a tool that is pushed along dirt in order to make holes or for some other use.

If you could tell me what this tool is called that would be great.

It is like a mulcher and aerating tool..you roll it back and forth in your garden beds ..no matter if veggie or flowers, and it takes and shreds up the topsoils organic matter, as well as loosens and aerates the top 3 or 4 inches of soil at a time..Real good for getting inbetween each plant etc…The spikes are generally stainless and the handle wooden on most of them
