An Income Statement– This tells you how much revenue is coming in
A Balance Sheet– This tells you what assets/liabilities the company has
A Summary of Cash Flow– This tells you whether they spent more than they earned.
Additionally, I would look at same store sales since this will tell you whether or not they are increasing traffic at the old units as well as the new ones.
Be sure to assess the risks associated with any legal claims to the chain as well.
